Before undergoing a Primelase laser hair removal treatment, you should avoid sunbathing and using self-tanning products for at least 4 weeks. During this time, you should also avoid removing hair with tweezers, wax or an epilator – hair may only be shaved with a razor, and the treatment area should be shaved the day before your appointment. For at least 7 days before the treatment, it is recommended that you avoid herbal teas and medicines that may have a photosensitising effect or increase the risk of irritation, such as ibuprofen. On the day of the treatment, the skin should be clean and free from creams, lotions, oils, make-up and deodorant.
