Ear Piercing using the Blomdahl Method

Ear piercing is a procedure we perform at US Clinic maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. We use the Blomdahl system, developed in accordance with the aseptic principles used in healthcare. The procedure is performed using sterile, single-use system components, and the earrings are selected from skin-friendly materials.
Safe Materials – Ideal Even for Sensitive Skin
The Blomdahl system uses earrings made of pure medical titanium or medical plastic containing no nickel. This makes the method suitable even for individuals with sensitive skin or a contact allergy to nickel. The earrings were developed in collaboration with dermatologists.
Before the procedure, we jointly select the piercing site and the appropriate earring model. The site is properly prepared, and then the piercing is performed using the Blomdahl system. At US Clinic, we always pierce both ears simultaneously using two Blomdahl devices, ensuring both piercings are done at the exact same moment.
The procedure is quick and takes only a few moments. Afterwards, you will receive recommendations for the proper care of your piercing site.
Ear piercing is a procedure for people who:
Want to get their first or subsequent ear piercing.
Are looking for a method that uses skin-friendly materials.
Have sensitive skin.
Have a contact allergy, including a nickel allergy.
Want to benefit from a professional and hygienic piercing system.
We do not perform the procedure, or it should be postponed, in the event of:
An active infection or inflammation around the ear.
Wounds, irritations, skin lesions, or other skin damage at the planned piercing site.
An active skin disease at the procedure site.
Fever or an acute systemic infection.
Other circumstances that may increase the risk of improper healing.
In the case of chronic diseases, taking medications that affect blood clotting or healing, or any doubts regarding your eligibility for the procedure, we recommend consulting a doctor beforehand.
Proper care is crucial for the healing process. During the first few weeks, you should:
Wash your hands thoroughly before touching the piercing area.
Clean the piercing site from the front and back according to the provided recommendations.
Not remove the earrings during the healing period.
Keep the piercing site clean and protect it from irritation.
Be careful when putting on clothes, brushing, and styling your hair.
Limit the contact of a fresh piercing with water in a pool, lake, or the sea.
Not apply alcohol directly for the care of the piercing site.
According to Blomdahl’s recommendations, the first earrings in the earlobe should be worn for about 6 weeks before changing them. However, the full healing process can take much longer, which is why proper earring selection and hygiene remain important even after the initial weeks.
At US Clinic, we ensure that ear piercing is not only an aesthetic procedure but is also performed professionally and with skin safety in mind. We use the Blomdahl system, which utilizes skin-friendly materials, including pure medical titanium and nickel-free medical plastic.
