Acne treatments in Wrocław

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterised by persistent or intermittent facial redness, visible small blood vessels and increased skin sensitivity. Symptoms may become more pronounced as a result of UV exposure, temperature changes, stress and other individual triggers.

At US Clinic, we use the Alma Harmony XL Pro SE with the Dye-VL handpiece to target vascular changes and facial redness. This advanced technology uses carefully selected light parameters that are primarily absorbed by haemoglobin within the blood vessels.

The controlled delivery of light energy allows for the reduction of visible superficial blood vessels and facial redness, resulting in a more even skin tone and improved overall appearance.

The treatment is performed by an experienced cosmetologist who assesses the condition of the skin, conducts a detailed consultation and selects the appropriate treatment parameters according to the type of vascular changes and the individual needs of the skin.

How Does Dye-VL Work for Rosacea?

The Dye-VL handpiece emits light at a specific wavelength that is selectively absorbed by chromophores in the skin, primarily haemoglobin.

The light energy is converted into thermal energy, resulting in a controlled effect on superficial blood vessels. The body then gradually eliminates the targeted vascular structures.

As a result, the treatment may help to:

  • reduce the visibility of superficial blood vessels,
  • reduce facial redness,
  • even out skin tone,
  • minimise the appearance of flushing,
  • improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Laser therapy does not eliminate the underlying cause of rosacea or guarantee permanent removal of its symptoms. It can, however, be an effective tool for controlling and reducing visible vascular symptoms. In cases of more pronounced symptoms or suspected active disease, we also recommend consultation with a dermatologist.

Treatment Procedure

Consultation and Assessment

Before the first treatment, the cosmetologist conducts a detailed consultation and assesses the condition of the skin and the nature of the visible changes. Current medications, skincare products, previous treatments and other factors that may affect the safety of laser therapy are also discussed.

Based on this assessment, the cosmetologist determines whether the treatment is appropriate and selects the appropriate device parameters.

Skin Preparation

Before the treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleansed. During the procedure, both the client and the professional performing the treatment wear appropriate eye protection.

Treatment

The cosmetologist delivers a series of controlled light pulses to areas affected by redness or visible vascular changes. The energy is delivered precisely, taking into account the individual condition of the skin.

During the treatment, you may experience warmth, mild stinging or short-term discomfort. Sensations vary depending on the treatment parameters, treatment area and individual sensitivity.

After the Treatment

Immediately after the treatment, temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling may occur. Some vascular changes may temporarily become more pronounced before gradually fading.

After the treatment, it is important to follow the cosmetologist’s recommendations, particularly regarding sun protection and appropriate skincare.

Benefits of Dye-VL Treatment

Precision
The light parameters are selected to target chromophores associated with visible vascular changes.

Reduction of redness and visible blood vessels
The treatment can reduce the appearance of superficial blood vessels and the intensity of facial redness.

More even skin tone
Reducing vascular changes can help the skin appear more uniform and less visibly flushed.

Minimally invasive
The treatment does not require surgical intervention, and the recovery period is generally short.

Individualised treatment parameters
Treatment parameters are selected by the cosmetologist based on an assessment of the skin and the nature of the vascular changes.

Contraindications

The main contraindications include:

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding,
  • recent tanning or intensive UV exposure,
  • active skin infections or inflammation in the treatment area,
  • active herpes infection,
  • use of photosensitising medications or products,
  • certain medications and therapies that affect the skin’s response to light,
  • active skin conditions in the treatment area,
  • certain chronic or autoimmune diseases – requiring individual assessment,
  • a tendency to develop keloid scars,
  • certain recently performed cosmetology or aesthetic medicine treatments,
  • skin cancer in the treatment area.

You should inform your cosmetologist about all medications and supplements you are taking, medical conditions and recently performed treatments. Final qualification for the procedure is carried out individually.

Treatment Results

The effects of laser therapy develop gradually. Depending on the type and severity of the changes, you may notice reduced visibility of superficial blood vessels, less intense redness and a more even skin tone.

The number of treatments required varies from person to person and depends on factors such as the severity of vascular changes, the treatment area and the skin’s response to therapy. In some cases, a series of treatments may be recommended to achieve optimal results.

Rosacea is a chronic condition, which means that symptoms may recur even after an improvement has been achieved. Individual predisposition and exposure to factors that trigger redness can affect the longevity of the results. Appropriate skincare and daily sun protection are important elements of long-term skin management.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

The treatments are performed using the Alma Harmony XL Pro Special Edition, Dye-VL medical device, and for deeper blood vessels we use a Nd:Yag laser.

The procedure involves thermal, controlled damage to cells in which melanin or hemoglobin has accumulated, resulting in a reduction of visible changes. The treatment is quick and safe and is not painful thanks to the head cooling.

It is recommended to perform 2 to 6 treatments at monthly intervals. The number of treatments depends on individual predispositions.
